Earlier this week, I teamed up with this guy (the amazingly talented Jason Cohen from www.JasonCohenPhoto.com, but you can refer to him as Super J) to shoot an engagement session for wedding planner extraordinaire: Valerie Metrejean (from www.SouthernFete.com ) . Tyler recently asked Valerie to marry him in a very cool proposal at a theater in South Louisiana- check out the images on Jason’s blog: http://jasoncohenphoto.com/2010/03/03/valerie-tyler-are-engaged/
I was extremely honored when asked to come along for their engagement session! We met up at in Lafayette, and did something really unique. The couple wrote down some of their favorite places on tiny pieces of paper, put the paper in a cup- and drew from the cup to decide on where we would be shooting. How fun is that?!
The first place they pulled out was “Antique Store”. But, that didn’t work out because the store was closed. So we found the next best thing- a music store near Tyler’s home!
From there, we headed to an orchard of some sort- I think it was for Satsumas, but we aren’t really sure.

Next, we went out to Spanish Lake in New Iberia-

Looking forward to the wedding!
