Sarah and Jayden- A Giggledrops family session

We don’t often shoot family portraits (we call our family portrait sessions “Giggledrops sessions)”. Weddings, Engagements, and Engagements keep us pretty busy. However, we love shooting them, especially for special people like Sarah. Sarah was about to be deployed to serve and wanted some pictures with her son Jayden before leaving. How could we turn that down? Thanks for all you do Sarah! Come back home safely soon!

Just wanted to stop and take a minute to say Merry CHRISTMAS to all of our friends out their who take time to stop by and check out our work. We are so blessed to be able to do what we love and for the freedom it allows us to have when it comes to spending time with our sweet little Merrik . I can’t believe how time is flying by and I treasure every moment with her . Santa will have no problem spotting our place this year , ( I know ) !

In case you can’t tell Merrik rules the house around here , especially when it comes to anything blingy !

On a side note for those of you who know me (Heather writing here ) , you might be surprised by the fact that the outside decorations do not match the interior ……. I know I am OC about this stuff , but hey cut a girl some slack . Atleast I decorated outside this year:)

This is my absolute fav ornament this year Go figure ! Merrik wanted to get in in the action while I was snapping these . She cracks me up with her pop up flash . Oh my word I LOVE THAT LITTLE GIRL !!!!

I love my huge fresh wreaths ! Homemade if you please Merrik went went with me to collect the greenery for them and was so freaked by the fact that I was pulling tree cuttings from the trash pile at a local tree shop . She would not let me get any until we located an employee and asked permission . They got a total kick out of the fact that we were asking .

Heather’s new website!

Heather (my super talented wife) launched her website recently- for fashionable kids and seniors. Heather is the talent behind much of the processing you see with our images on the blog. She quit her job as an Interior Designer back in February to come work full time with me. (She’s been helping with post processing for several years). Part of the reason she decided to give up a job she loved was because she has a passion for creating sassy images of kids and senior girls (must be because of Merrik!). I’m so proud of her!

Her images will appeal only to a limited number of people. She wants to create images that are stylish, fashionable, and a little edgy. If you want pictures of kids in white shirts on a beach, or seniors in flip flops- she’s probably not the photographer you are looking for.
