A Southern Oaks Wedding:
Sadari and Jared were married at Southern Oaks in a beautiful southern wedding. We just loved this couple! Sadari looked elegant and Jared was charming as this southern bride and groom said, “I Do” in style.
More about Sadari and Jared:
Q. How did you two meet?
A. Our families have known each other for years. We knew of each other but had no personal relationship whatsoever. My family moved and I had not seen Sadari for about 10-15 years. I had just got back from Italy and decided to go for a run on the morning of July 4th. I went to Lasalle Park and as I was finishing my workout I noticed a young lady running around the park several times at a pretty impressive pace. I assumed she was some professional athlete doing an offseason workout. I was determined to make sure our paths crossed but didn’t know how to get her attention. Finally she stopped for water and made her way to the area where I was stretching. She walked up to man and thought I looked familiar and she said “Are you?” And I interrupted her and said “Sadari?” And that is how we “met.” Two people running in the park at 5am on the 4th of July.
Q. Where did you go on your first date?
Q. Tell us about the proposal!
A. The proposal was random and unplanned. I had the ring for months but was trying to figure out when and how to do it. We ate a typical dinner at a restaurant we frequent in river ridge. Then we were full so I suggested we go walk off the full-feeling from the food before we go to sleep. Of course, we went to walk in Lasalle Park. After one lap I, I stopped in the area where we met and asked her to re-enact how we met….Then we laughed, then I asked her if she would continue to walk with me before we left. She said yes. And then I said “no, i want you to walk by my side for the rest of our lives” (and dropped to one knee).
Q. Tell us about your careers.
A. Sadari has a chemistry degree and is currently finishing her masters in biology. She currently works as a chemist at Intertek in St. Rose.
Jared has an English degree and is in his final year of law school. He is currently a full-time student. He hopes to pursue a career in sports law.
