Melissa and Marco traveled from Dallas to get married in Melissa’s hometown of Alexandria, LA at one of Central Louisiana’s premiere wedding venues, The Melady House.
Their wedding was certainly unique and filled with their personalities. From fun yard games (bean bag toss and lasso golf) to a pizza bar! I loved working with these two, and it’s always an honor to document a wedding for a fellow photographer. Check out Marco’s work at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Marco-Molina-Photography .

How did he propose?
Marco took Melissa to a park in Fort Worth under the premise of taking some summer pictures. He arranged for a photographer friend to meet us. As we were posing for shots, Marco asked if there were ants in the grass behind them. With Melissa’s back turned (looking for the ants) Marco got down on one knee and proposed with a beautiful ring, that he had purchased for her in London (one of Melissa’s most favorite places). The moment was a happy, teary blur. Although we don’t really remember what all was said, the answer was yes!
How did you two meet?
We met through a mutual friend October 2009 in Dallas, TX. Marco was dressed like Michael Jackson, sequin socks and all, for a Halloween art show. Melissa was misinformed about wearing costumes to the art show, but was wearing a pretty feather headband. There was immediate interest for us both, but a slight issue of an 13 hour geographic separation. Melissa lived in Baton Rouge, LA and Marco was in Midland, TX. Over the next year, we were great pen pals, chatting on facebook and texting. Flirting really.
