Trang and Will are married- New Orleans!

Trang and Will flew back to Trang’s hometown of New Orleans for an amazing wedding.  We had a great time meeting all of the “Big 10″ friends.  They were well represented by Michigan State fans, Michigan Fans, Ohio State Fans, and even a Penn State fan.  Congratulations Will and Trang, thanks for letting us be a part of you wedding (and rehearsal dinner)!

{for photographers} Cheetah Stand, much better than the Denny EZ Stand

A few weeks ago,  I posted a video review of the Denny EZ stand when I received it.  I pointed out how one of the posts came apart on me immediately out of the box, which caused me to have to use caution when lifting it.  Well,  after shooting a wedding with it,  I realized that wasn’t going to work for my style of photography (since I move the light around often).  Enter the Cheetah Stand:

I waited until I shot two weddings with my new Cheetah stand to post a review on it, and all I can say is-  I love it!  It’s light.  It’s much more durable.  It folds and sets up with no problem.  It grips better.  It’s simply a much better stand all around.

**Update-  Denny is sending me a replacement stand.  I just talked to their COO, who told me that they discovered a design flaw.  The joints weren’t tight, which caused the telescopic center tube to come apart.  They have gone through their stock and tightened the joints on all units.  They also said that my case was the first time they heard about the center column coming apart.  I’m glad to see that their customer service is on top of things,  however- my recommendation remains with the Cheetah Stand, it’s simply a better built unit in my opinion.

Katelyn and Clay: A Shabby Chic Engagement Session on the Red River

I met up with Katelyn and Clay behind lake Buhlow in Pineville, LA.  What a bundle of fun these two are!  The theme for their Kent House Wedding is “Shabby Chic”,  I brought the Shabby,  they brought the Chic!
